Spark Program
Field trips!
Discovery Night Project
A SketchUp model built by one of the mentees. The students work on a project for the duration of the short-term mentorship (10-weeks) and present it in a "teach-back" to their classmates/parents/teachers.
Discovery Night Project
Discovery Night is important. As the students present and explain their work, the connection to learning and pride in their accomplishment is sometimes almost palpable.
Saturdays in the Studio
A program run by the Chicago Architecture Foundation Teen Programs, volunteer mentors assist in guiding the teens through design exercises
Discover Design
I was one of many helping to judge this online teen design competition with teens from around the country competing in various architectural categories
